No More Beautiful Escape
This collage is about the gentrification and displacement of Puerto Ricans on the Island. In this piece, we can see “foreign eyes” looking where for new land to buy/occupy, machinery changing the look and history of Old San Juan, and the occupation of beaches, land, and sea. The loss of where I used to go to escape.
Brink Of Extinction
This represents the primary drivers for the possible extinction of mankind - our encroachment upon the environments fauna and flora, and our facilitation for the propagation of plagues. Either driver being capable of wiping humanity from the face of the earth.
Cost of Fashion
A thought-provoking and poignant piece that urges us to rethink our relationship with clothing and the impact our choices have on the world around us.
Where Did Our Beaches Go?
This poem is about the protests against the coastal development and privatization of public beaches happening daily, back home, on the Island, Puerto Rico.
